Engineering Testing and Commissioning Services
We help our clients avoid unplanned shutdowns and breakdowns and reduce downtimes with the support of our extensive engineering services that meet global standards. Urgent repair and maintenance requests in petrochemicals, power and water plants, the oil sector, heavy industries such as steel, cement, and others, as well as commercial buildings across Saudi Arabia, have been successfully addressed by our professional teams. We also assist with electric motor rewinds.
Alfanar Engineering Services

As the engineering services arm of Alfanar Projects, we rewind and repair electric motors, as well as transformers, and generators; testing and commissioning services; operation and maintenance services; and calibration services to our clients across different sectors.
We have four strategic business units that cater to different requirements:
- Alfanar Technical Services (ATS)
Our facility is considered the largest in the Middle East for rewinding, repairing, re-engineering, and life assessment studies of power transformers, motors, and generators. Quality and delivery of our services are truly unmatched.
We provide factory and onsite services for transformers (repairing and rewinding from 231 V up to 230 kV, ratings from 150 kVA up to 200 MVA; overhauling services from 231 V up to 380 kV, up to 227 MVA), motors (380 V up to 13.8 kV, ratings from 0.5 HP up to 27000 HP), and generators and turbines (5 to 1200 MVA).
We also manufacture magnetic wires, preformed coils, and insulated conductors.
- Alfanar Calibration Services (ACS)
We have fully equipped electrical, torque, pressure, dimension, temperature, and mass labs to provide in-house and onsite calibration and repair services for electrical and mechanical equipment used in different industries and sectors. Our calibration services conform to the regulatory and audit requirements across industries.
- Alfanar Operation & Maintenance (AO&M)
We offer preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance services for electrical and mechanical infrastructure across different sectors. Our teams also provide 24x7 emergency services.
- Alfanar Testing & Commissioning (AT&C)
We have extensive experience in mechanical and electrical testing and commissioning equipment across different sectors, such as GIS switchgear, power transformers, protection and control systems, substation auxiliary equipment, fiber optic cable splicing, and generation equipment.
