OFFICER, HSE (ALFANAR PROJECTS)
Responsibilities
- Ensure all projects adhere to local, regional, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective control measures to minimize workplace hazards.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees to raise awareness and enhance safety culture.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring all team members are adequately trained.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of open communication regarding HSE matters, promoting an atmosphere where employees feel comfortable reporting concerns and incidents.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HSE Officer in a similar industry.
- Familiarity with relevant HSE regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Certified Health and Safety Professional (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
