TECHNICIAN, WINDING (ALFANAR PROJECTS)
Responsibilities
Motor Winding:
- Wind stators, rotors, and armatures of various types and sizes of motors according to specifications.
- Select appropriate wire size, insulation, and winding techniques based on motor requirements.
- Ensure proper tension and alignment of windings to prevent motor failures and ensure optimal performance.
Motor Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot motor issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Replace defective parts such as bearings, brushes, and seals.
- Test repaired motors to ensure they meet operational standards and specifications.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect completed windings and repairs for quality and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Document work performed, including specifications, parts used, and test results.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate winding and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to coordinate motor winding and repair projects.
- Provide guidance and training to junior winders and apprentices as needed.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical fields preferred.
- Proven experience as a Motors Winder or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of motor winding techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
