alfanar participated as a Platinum Sponsor in the 8th General Conference of the Arab Union of Electricity, held at the Hilton Riyadh from February 11 to 13, 2025, organized by the Arab Union of Electricity in collaboration with the Saudi Electricity Company.

Under the theme "Towards Sustainable Electrical Energy in the Arab World," the conference witnessed the presence of senior officials, executives, and energy experts. It served as a specialized platform for fostering knowledge exchange, enhancing regional cooperation, driving sustainable development, and building strategic partnerships.

The conference featured a diverse range of activities, including panel discussions, workshops, and an accompanying exhibition. alfanar’s participation stood out with a specialized booth, where it showcased its latest innovations, such as HVDC, eco-friendly smart ring main units (SRMU), cybersecurity solutions, and energy storage technologies. Visitors to the booth showed great interest in learning about alfanar’s local and international sustainable projects.

As part of the event agenda, alfanar, represented by Eng. Amer Al Ajmi, EVP at Alfanar Projects, participated in a panel discussion on climate change and its impact on electricity systems in the Arab world, where he highlighted the company's extensive efforts to support climate action and sustainability through its global projects. He emphasized its role in advancing renewable energy, smart grid solutions, and energy efficiency initiatives aligned with KSA Vision 2030, while also underscoring the importance of strategic partnerships in accelerating the energy transition across the region. Eng. Amer further stressed the need for innovation and investment in clean energy technologies to ensure a resilient and sustainable energy future.

The 8th edition of the conference was remarkable for its scale, featuring the participation of over 300 international speakers and researchers, 70 supporting and exhibiting entities, and more than 10,000 attendees, all eager to explore the latest advancements in sustainable energy solutions and technologies.
