where it was awarded the Project Excellence Award 2025 for its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Bisha. During the ceremony, Eng. Khaled Al Solami, Executive Vice President of Engineering Construction at Alfanar Projects, received the award on behalf of the company from Eng. Khalid Al Ghamdi, CEO of the Saudi Electricity Company. 

The Bisha BESS project supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 energy strategy by contributing to national objectives to meet 50% of the future energy demand from clean and renewable sources. By enhancing grid reliability, supporting the integration of renewable energy, and providing a stable backup supply for the region, the project stands as one of the biggest projects in the Kingdom’s shift toward a more sustainable electricity network. 

Speaking on this achievement, Eng.
