We proudly played a vital role in delivering the region’s largest single-phase battery energy storage system (BESS) at the Bisha Region in Aseer Province.

With a remarkable power storage capacity of 2000 MWh, the project positions Saudi Arabia among the top 10 leading global markets in the battery energy storage field.

The project includes 488 advanced battery units with energy storage capacities of up to 500MW over 4 hours, during low-demand periods, energy that can be efficiently redistributed during peak hours for optimal grid performance.

The Bisha BESS project ensures fast-response backup power across the kingdom and region, supporting energy security, minimizing energy waste, and maximizing the use of surplus renewable energy. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which targets renewable energy to constitute over 50% of the country's energy portfolio.
