We started working on the electrification of the project in 2011 and completed it in a record time of 24 months. The six 380 kV GIS substations are spread across Makkah: Knowledge Economic City in Madinah, King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh, and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

This project involved engineering, procurement, fabrication, and painting of 2,000 MT steel structures. It was a fast-track project completed in record time.
