Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Plant
Located in Ras Al Khair Industrial City, the Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Plant is considered a new milestone in Saudi Arabia’s industrial transformation and localization strategy, in alignment with the KSA Vision 2030. With a construction value exceeding SAR 1 billion, the facility had been established as a world-class strategic industrial project.
This project serves as one of our most technically advanced and large-scale EPC developments, with a total investment exceeding SAR 3.5 billion. Spanning over 400,000 square meters with a built-up area of 182,000 square meters, the Tuwaiq Casting and Forging facility comprises around 39 buildings designed for heavy industrial processes and supported by a workforce of over 2,900 manpower who have collectively achieved more than 15 million total working hours.
We delivered this facility under a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) contract in partnership with Saudi Aramco, Dussur, and Doosan Enerbility. As the main contractor, we managed all civil, architectural, structural, and electromechanical works. The scope also includes 122,000 cubic meters of concrete pouring, 25,000 metric tons of structural steel erection, and over 150,000 square meters of cladding to establish a plant equipped with highly specialized workshops for casting, forging, melting, machining, and non-destructive testing.
Supporting infrastructure was constructed, including an advanced electrical substation, optimized cooling systems, integrated MEP networks, and a dedicated water treatment plant, ensuring operational efficiency and environmental compliance. More than 22 kilometers of underground piping and 400 kilometers of electrical cabling were installed to power and connect every part of the plant.
Beyond its scale and technical sophistication, the Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Plant will significantly contribute to the Kingdom’s heavy manufacturing sector, reducing reliance on imports and fostering industrial self-sufficiency, with a planned annual production capacity of 60,000 tons.
